Happy September, Alpaca friends! Now that school is back in full swing around Omaha, the Alpaca team is as busy as we can be – new schools, new packs, new partners – read all about it!

Five new schools join the pack

Please welcome five new schools to the Alpaca school crew - Pawnee Elementary, Rose Hill Elementary, Ponca Elementary, Willowdale Elementary (our first Millard school), and Phoenix Academy. We are so excited to have 112 new teachers to support each month!  And keep your eye out: we have some big news coming soon!

Teachers hold us all together!

Alpaca’s September pack was so much fun! Designed by long-time educator Morgan Grot, we focused on the ways teachers “hold us all together” with super useful tapes, velcro, glue guns, and materials to help teachers keep their classrooms organized! These items were among some of the most requested supplies for teachers, and we love providing them. The best part, teachers LOVED receiving these packs! We love seeing teachers post their packs online and share with us how they’re using the supplies!

Thanks for coming to see us at Hutchfest & Dundee Day!

We absolutely loved seeing so many friendly faces at some fall events in Omaha! We met tons of  fantastic  teachers at Dundee Day (teachers get t-shirts, you know - just ask us) marching with their students in the parade. At Hutchfest, Alpaca sold teacher surprise packs and welcomed hundreds of families into our space to make thank you cards for their teachers. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi - come back anytime!

McGill Restoration sponsors Alpaca for Westbrook

Alpaca is so proud to have local businesses support teachers by sponsoring Alpaca for their favorite schools! In August, we got a call from McGill Restoration and with their sponsorship of Westbrook Elementary, we were able to bring Alpaca to 40 more amazing teachers. This is the best of local business supporting local teachers. We love to see it!

Alpaca is growing!

We are overjoyed to welcome our new Operations Manager, Marina Erickson to the Alpaca team! Marina is our new Queen of Packs, and managed the pack builds this month like she’d been here for years. We’re so lucky to have this practical, tactical genius on board at Alpaca. Stop by and say hi - you’ll be won over by Marina’s positivity! (and yacht rock, also yacht rock.)
